What's the difference between local and international card rates?

Local cards, issued by an Egyptian bank, are charged 2.5% + 2.5 EGP per successful transaction. International cards, issued outside Egypt, are charged 2.75% + 2.5 EGP. The rate is applied automatically based on the card's issuing country.

What currencies can I accept, and how am I paid out?

XPay accepts 15 currencies: EGP, USD, EUR, GBP, SAR, AED, QAR, KWD, JOD, OMR, BHD, LYD, AUD, CAD, and CNY. Customers pay in their currency and you settle to your bank in EGP at a variable FX rate based on the official bank rate.

When am I charged the transaction fee?

The per-transaction rate applies only to successful transactions. You keep the remainder, which is settled to your bank account in EGP.
